Fine Artist, Scot Olson to Showcase Digital Art at St. George Art Festival

Salt Lake City artist to demonstrate how he uses latest technology to create fine art.

March 25, 2010

St. George, Utah - Scot Olson is on the forefront of a new movement in fine art - DIGITAL ART, and he will be showcasing his talents at the 2010 St. George Art Festival.

By using the latest technology, Scot has the ability to "paint" directly onto his computer. Once complete, he then prints each piece as a fine-art giclee (pronounced zhee-clay).

Many artists use the giclee process to make prints of their paint-on-canvas originals. Yet, there is always some quality lost in converting physical paintings to digital format. However, because Scot's art begins digitally, there is not only no quality loss, but each giclee is considered an original piece of art.

While Scot will primarily exhibit his digital artwork, he'll also show several of his paint-on-canvas pieces, as well as paper prints of his originals.

Scot and his agent-for-sales, Olson Marketing Services, cordially invite you to visit his booth at the 2010 St. George Art Festival. This event will be held on April 2 & 3 at the St. George Town Square located on 86 South Main. For more information, please contact Olson Marketing Services at (801) 397-0234 or click here.
